Chris-tar, don't be jealous!!! These pages have been worked and reworked for years! I spent a year working on the stuff you see (except for the dream sequence. That I added in real time), first pencil and paper, then scanned into the computer and inked and colored. I waited til I had 80 pages drawn before I began to upload to CF. Then during the upload process, I further tweak the pages as months have passed and I see improvements that can be made. This scene, the final scene of the chapter, was completed in 2016! So, I am NOT fast! It takes me a LONG time to draw these pages. Except on the rare occasion that a page just flows out of me. But generally, I spend a week on one page.
Chapter 2 will be a serious challenge. I thought I'd be able to work on it simultaneously last year, but no. Adapting the dialogue (which was written in 2010) to graphic novel form proved waaaaay more difficult than I anticipated. However, I no longer work with pencil and paper. It's much easier to start right in the computer, and I eliminate 2 steps. Still, I don't know how consistently I'll be able to post this year.
Wow. Thanks for your honesty. I am in the same boat as you then. It can take me several days to a week to finish a page as well. Thank you for eliminating my inferiority complex. I feel much better now. :)
